Airports
The international airport is on Tutuila (Pago Pago International Airport). There are also small airstrips on Fituita,Ofu and Ta'u islands.
Airlines
Hawaiian Air provides direct air service from Pago Pago to Honolulu. Polynesian Airlines, Air New Zealand and Air Pacific provide regional air services to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, New Caledonia, Tahiti and the Cook Islands.
Samoa Air flies to Tonga, Niue, Fiji and other destinations and is available for charter. Domestically, Samoa Air flies regularly to Ofu, Olasinga, and Ta'u Islands. It also flies to Western Samoa several times a day.

Shipping Services
American Samoa has regular shipping services to the US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and other Pacific island countries. Nearly all lines cover other Pacific Islands at the same time therefore there is a minimum of at least one stop before the vessel arrives in Pago Pago.
Ports
The main dock in Pago Pago harbour is 1000 feet long, handling ships of up to a 32 foot draft. Pago Pago harbour provides the full complement of equipment and facilities and has a ship repair facility with a 3000 ton marine railway. While Pago Pago is the main port, there are others at Aunu'u , Auasi, Faleosao, Ofu and Ta'u.
Road
Brightly coloured aiga (pronouced eye-ing-a) buses, often with blaring music, are an easy and cheap form of transport, and run around the main island most of the day. Taxis are also available.
Local rental agencies hire out cars, bicycles and scooters and accept national or international driving licences. Traffic is heavy in Pago Pago.
