What it takes to get a diving job in Micronesia

The most popular kind of job positions sought in the South Pacific are those related to resorts and hotels. These are often thought to be idyllic, with lots of beaches and palm trees. And indeed they are, though it must not be forgotten that resort jobs also entail quite long hours and dedication. The positions are not always well-paid, but that said, there is definitely a lifestyle component to be factored in.

The main jobs that lure expatriate job seekers to the South Pacific are resort management, chef positions, and dive-related jobs. A new dive shop new in Micronesia is currently seeking a Dive Instructor to join their team. The position may entail other duties so applicants with more than one skill set may be in a better position to get the job. In the South Pacific, multi-skilling is important. Divers who are boat mechanics, or have Internet marketing skills, or can train other staff - they can often be the ones to get the appointment. This particular position could consider husband and wife team, or diver with a friend having other skills. Due to the diverse guests visiting the region, European languages are needed as well.

Feel you are suitably qualified? You may wish to check if this scuba diving job in Micronesia is still available.
