JOB DESCRIPTION Café Vila is Nasama Resort Restaurant & Bar and also one of the best restaurant in town ! We offer excellent meals with an emphasis on fresh local produce; a relaxed, comfortable dining experience; Open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We also cater for a variety of events including weddings and functions. We are looking for a professional Food and Beverage Manager to be responsible for managing all Bar and restaurant operations. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all F&B orders, staff and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
RESPONSABILITIES - Managing Food and Beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards - Leading the restaurant team by attracting, recruiting, training and scheduling the restaurant and bar employees - Plans menus by consulting with chefs; estimates food costs and profits; adjusts menus. - Maintain high standards of quality control in food and service - Report to owners regarding sales results and productivity - Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of preparation; monitoring accuracy of charges. - Manage food and drink purchase through multi suppliers. - Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures. - Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service. - Promote and market restaurant and bar through events and social media.
REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position - Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) - Knowledge of Excel and accounting procedures to produce Profit & Loss Statements, create and analyse reports to increase sales and profits. - Ability to work extended hours - Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently - Management & Organisational Skills - Mastery in delegating multiple tasks - Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices - Guest-oriented and service-minded with Attention to Detail.
