Overview Eigigu Solutions Corporation (ESC) Integrated Services supports the health and well-being of refugees and asylum seekers (clients) on Nauru, by focusing on psycho-social strength-based, trauma informed, culturally sensitive practices. By providing a platform to become independent members of the Nauruan community, ESC Integrated Services encourages clients to keep in the best health possible, while awaiting their resettlement journey. Our Integrated Services team ensures that clients have access to social workers and social work assistants who support their journey to wellness and self-agency. Position Purpose Social Work operate in a case management capacity to support clients with a support needs in an empathetic, strengths-based and trauma informed way. This role provides psycho-social assessment and support to clients who present with complex needs. The Social Worker assists Clients who present with complex needs, creating focused support plans to assist them in identifying goals that lead to self-sufficiency and wellness. assists clients to self-identify goals and links them to community services, developing and implementing long-term support plans.
Duties Include: • Address the psychosocial needs of clients while developing self-agency, and minimising dependency. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the services delivery model, promote understanding of services, and raise awareness of issues affecting refugee communities. • Work within all relevant policies and procedures.
Skills • Sound understanding of strengths-based, trauma informed and solutions-focused practice approaches • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build respectful and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders • Understanding of working within confidentiality and privacy guidelines • Understanding of the refugee and asylum seeker experience.

Education and Experience Mandatory • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work; or related disciple. • Experience working with clients with high needs or heightened vulnerability.
Desirable • Demonstrated experience working as a social worker with clients from an asylum seeker, refugee or forced migrant background. • Training in child protection assessment and investigation, child development or complex mental health. • Previous international humanitarian development work.

These roles are based in Nauru so applicants must be eligible to travel, hold a current Passport and be able to work in Nauru.
