         <title>Electrician</title> 
       	 <description><![CDATA[American Samoa - All - Impress American Samoa, Inc has an immediate opening for a Lead Electrician.

Responsibilities:
While complying with the National Electric Codes and working safely. While working under the Electrical Supervisor. To maintain, repair and service all electrical equipment, computer and network equipment contained within the factory to keep a constant flow of a high quality product required for a high speed direct feed operation. Electrical faults or problems are dealt with quickly. Responsible for seeing worksheets are completed by the electricians.  Help with the training of the electricians to a higher stranded. Gain knowledge on the workings of Electrical and Electronic motor starters and controllers used on this site. Impress American Samoa, Inc contains specialized machinery for the manufacturing and testing of food cans, which the employee will learn how maintain and troubleshoot. To cover shifts of Electricians or Electrical supervisor who are on holiday or sick.

This position would be suitable to a person who is registered Electrician, just out of there time with some experience in high speed manufacturing and work on Industrial and automated machinery with a working knowledge of PLC's and strong fault finding ability. 

Applicants must:
"Be available to work on a fixed roster over 7 days (with 2 days off), stay till problems are corrected. 
"Be energetic, physical fit and  consciences of another culture and way of life
"Be willing to learn new skills and also pass on your skills with training and working one on one.
"Have good communication skills in English (Samoan also would be an advantage)
"Be able to follow out supervisors instructions, and lead the electricians to complete tasks 
"Have a basic understanding of PLC's, able to go on line and fault find and simple edits of programs
"Have a strong fault finding ability and logical problem solving ability both electrical and mechanical
"Be able to read and understand electrical drawings and manuals
"Have a willingness to see a job through from stat to finish
"Be able to live permanently on an island for periods of 6 months with out travel home
"Have worked in a manufacturing maintenance environment working with and on Industrial and automated machinery

Qualifications:
"Have a trade Electrical qualification and have completed an apprenticeship or practical trade to gain this qualification
"Computer basic skills in all aspects of the Microsoft application 
"Have some form of basic PLC training]]></description>
